Most Important Skincare Advice

Your skin is responsible for so many functions, many of which you wouldnt even consider. It helps control temperature, get rid of toxins and protect organs among many other things. It is so important to have good skin care so that it maintains its functioning well, but also so that it looks its best. Below are the five best skincare tips that will give you the best chance of achieving the complexion you desire.

1.) Make sure you skin is protected from the sun. Nothing else ages the skin and causes blemishes like the sun, so you need to shelter it from the damaging rays. Do not spend long hours exposed to the sun and avoid it when it is most powerful, between the hours of 11am-1pm. Always wear sunscreen, even if you are not going out in the sun as it is very moisturising and will protect against the constant low level U.V rays that silently damage over time. You can also buy some beauty products that have UV protection, which are great for helping to prevent UV damage on a day to day basis.

2.) Make sure your skin is always moistureised. Your skin, like every other part of your body demands moisture to work properly so make sure it is always well moisturised and supple. This is not to say you should apply moisturiser all over the body all the time as this can suffocate the skin, but instead treat it when it is dry with quality skin products. After being in the cold for extended time and after swimming or showering are likely times that you should make sure you skins moisture levels are topped up.

3.) Dont smoke. Cigarettes have a great deal of poisons and toxins contained within that are completely counterproductive skins functioning. They close up blood supply, dehydrate the skin, mutate cells and block pores. Just have a butchers at the skin of a smoker and you will soon agree this point needs to be given respect.

4.) Reduce Stress. Although this is a difficult to action, it is worth considering. We all know that teenagers classically suffer from outbreaks and this is down to higher hormone levels during puberty causing excessive oil production. The same think happen when stress hormones are released during times on anxiety and can be avoided by giving yourself a little time each day to chill-out. Try booking spa days every now again as well, where you can get a nice cleansing facial and just chill out for the day.

5.) Keep make-up to a minimum. High quality or lighter make-ups are not as bad but when you added layers of make-up or using thick make-ups the skin looses the ability to breathe and pores become inflamed. Make sure you remove makeup before you sleep overnight as well. This is because the skin does a great deal of self-cleaning over night and this process cannot take place effectively if it is covered in a thick layer of foundation.

Follow these few key tips and your skin will thank you for it by looking better than ever. There are some great womens gifts you can buy that help you remove make-up in the evening, without being too harsh on the skin.
