The Jewelry Ring

As Mother’s Day is now just a couple of weeks away, it’s time that kids everywhere stopped to have a think about what their mums might like as a little present.

Unfortunately for me my mum is no longer with us, so it’s something I don’t have to worry about, but I have 2 children of my own and they always get me a little gift. I also have to keep a look out for something for my Mother In Law as my other half doesn’t have a clue and would end up giving her a bunch of daffodils from the local garage if I left it up to him!! Over the past few years jewellery has become more and more fashionable ranging from the simple kind of almost normal everyday silver jewellery and silver gemstone jewellery to the outrageous love rings that you sometimes see people wearing, but of course the question is there a point in which all of this jewellery becomes to much to wear or look at and instead of looking and feeling good about yourself in actual fact you start to look a bit out of the ordinary.

The real debate here is how much is too much and what is the best jewellery to wear in these summer months? Well firstly it is important to know that more than one necklace on at a time is certainly a no go for jewellery wearers. (more…)

At the beginning of the New Year, I always try and put together a bit of a financial plan for the forthcoming year. Some months are inevitably going to be more expensive than others. Unfortunately I planned it wrong and even though my children are separated by 5 years, their birthdays fall within a couple of days of each other, so in our house March and April are pretty expensive months. More and more nowadays we are seeing an increase in the amount of jewellery out on the market and more so the amount available to men ranging from rings to silver jewellery and it is also important to note that no longer are these seen as a bit camp or wrong looking on men they are actually seen to be quite fashionable in some cases and may even boost self confidence.

Although there are still many pieces of jewellery out there still solely for women such as silver chains ( I am not sure any man is going to wear one of these) it is also important to note that many pieces of jewellery are made just for men ranging from rings to the all important watch.

The world is every changing and the styles in which people are wearing are also on the change, it would seem male jewellery is in fashion. Twenty years ago it would almost be very unacceptable for a guy to go around wearing his favourite silver earrings but nowadays it is a lot more common to see a guy wearing various bits of jewellery. With Christmas looming and gifts to be bought, I decided it was time to look into getting my presents sorted out early.
