The other evening I was watching a tv programme about who women style themselves on.

I personally feel we are all individuals and hate to follow any fashion trends.I am of the opinion that I am who I am and if people don’t like the way I dress than that’s their lookout.I’m not going to be rushing out to the shopping centre to buy the latest fashions, just because so and so may be wearing them.

On the other hand, my teenage daughter is very much into all the latest trends and currently Pixie Lott is her favourite. (more…)

At the beginning of the New Year, I always try and put together a bit of a financial plan for the forthcoming year. Some months are inevitably going to be more expensive than others. Unfortunately I planned it wrong and even though my children are separated by 5 years, their birthdays fall within a couple of days of each other, so in our house March and April are pretty expensive months. Now that we are well and truly into the New Year I feel it is time for a good old clear out of the wardrobe. You know out with the old and in with the new. I was flicking channels the other night and managed to catch Gok Wan in his highly entertaining show ‘How To Look Good Naked’. This programme is great because he knocks the current trend of having super skinny women on the show. He always has what I would class as ‘normal’ women on his show, all of whom are just an average size. (more…)

With Christmas looming and gifts to be bought, I decided it was time to look into getting my presents sorted out early.

When the children were younger, it always seemed that Chrismtas was quite easy. Back in the good old days when the wonderful Woolies were still on the high street, it was brilliant as all I had to do was call in there and pick up all their prezzies in one go. (more…)
